BASQUE SOCIETY MOVES FOR PRISONERS'RIGHTS
On Saturday 26 November, 2005, representatives of 29 Basque political, trade union, and social organizations met at the Ibaeta University Campus in Donostia in order to address the issue of Basque Political Prisoners.

FROM THE ARREST TO THE FIRST VISIT
Our inexplicable feeling of impotence begins right from the arrest. When the police burst into our home at night, they left violently everything upside down and take our relative arrested. This image remains long hours in our minds and with no information at all.
PRIVATION OF FREEDOM
After being imprisoned, the policy of dispersal is applied, this means to send those under arrest hundreds of miles away from home, family, affective, social, cultural and political environment, leaving them alone and isolated. Furthermore, they're not only sent to a far jail, but once there, the prisoners are dispersed in different departments.
